  • Detects approximately 160 kDa in rat brain membrane preparations.
  • This antibody was formerly sold as clone S62-29.

Target Information

The ATP7B gene encodes a member of the P-type cation transport ATPase family, containing multiple membrane-spanning domains, an ATPase consensus sequence, hinge domain, phosphorylation site, and copper-binding sites.
This protein exports copper from cells, including hepatic copper efflux into bile.
Alternate splice variants with distinct localizations exist.
Mutations in ATP7B are associated with Wilson disease (WD).
