Target Information
HLA-C는 HLA class I heavy chain 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 분자는 heavy chain과 light chain(beta-2 microglobulin)으로 구성된 이합체 형태이며, heavy chain은 세포막에 고정되어 있습니다. Class I 분자는 내강에서 유래한 펩타이드를 제시함으로써 면역계에서 중심적인 역할을 합니다. 대부분의 세포에서 발현되며, heavy chain은 약 45 kDa 크기로 8개의 엑손을 포함합니다.

- Exons 2–3: alpha1, alpha2 domain (peptide 결합 부위)
- Exon 4: alpha3 domain
- Exon 5: transmembrane region
- Exons 6–7: cytoplasmic tail
Exon 2와 3의 다형성은 각 class I 분자의 펩타이드 결합 특이성을 결정하며, 이러한 다형성은 골수 및 신장 이식 시 타이핑에 활용됩니다. 100개 이상의 HLA-C 대립유전자가 보고되어 있습니다.
HLA 및 MHC 항체는 면역펩타이드오믹스(Immunopeptidomics) 연구에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 고성능 액체 크로마토그래피 및 질량분석을 통해 신항원(neoantigen)의 식별과 특성 분석을 가능하게 합니다.
