Target Information
The DYKDDDDK tag, also known as the FLAG tag, is a short peptide sequence (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) commonly used as a protein tag to facilitate purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to the N- or C-terminus of a protein, allowing easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
This tag is widely used in molecular biology and biochemistry for protein-protein interaction studies, expression analysis, and localization studies. Its hydrophilic nature minimizes interference with protein folding or activity.
