Target Information

BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1)은 핵 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성을 유지하고 종양 억제 기능을 수행합니다. BRCA1은 다른 종양 억제 단백질, DNA 손상 감지 인자 및 신호 전달 인자들과 함께 BASC (BRCA1 associated genome surveillance complex)를 형성합니다.
RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase complex와 상호작용하며, 전사 및 이중가닥 DNA 손상 복구, 재조합에 관여합니다. BRCA1 유전자 변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방 및 난소암의 80% 이상을 유발합니다. 대체 스플라이싱에 의해 다양한 전사체 변이가 존재하며, 일부는 질병 관련 돌연변이로 보고되었습니다.
