Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) is a chymotrypsin-like serine protease belonging to the kallikrein family, produced by prostate epithelium and abundant in seminal fluid.
It can be detected in serum of patients with prostatic carcinoma and is mainly complexed with alpha-1-antichymotrypsin (ACT).
A higher proportion of PSA–ACT complex is found in prostate cancer compared to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
PSA is used as a marker to confirm prostatic acinar cell origin in primary and metastatic carcinoma and to distinguish it from non-prostatic carcinoma mimics.
