Target Information
TRF2는 텔로미어 길이 조절에 관여하는 단백질로, Myb 관련 DNA 결합 모티프를 포함합니다. TTAGGG 반복 서열에 결합하며, 인간 염색체의 모든 텔로미어 부위에 위치합니다. TRF2는 염색체 말단의 구조를 유지하여 손상으로부터 보호하는 역할을 하며, 억제 시 일부 세포 유형에서 세포자멸사를 유도하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 TRF2의 변이형은 인간 세포의 노화 방지와 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
