GST Tag recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody specifically recognizes GST Tag at both C- and N-terminus of proteins.
Recombinant mouse monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. Specific genes encoding the desired antibodies are cloned into an expression vector and expressed in vitro. The advantages of recombinant antibodies include improved specificity and consistent performance between lots.
It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, where it catalyzes a variety of reactions. It is commonly used in the GST gene fusion system, allowing GST-fusion proteins to be purified from cells via their high affinity for glutathione. Fusion proteins provide a valuable tool for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions. The GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
