Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies use advanced dye chemistry for brighter fluorescence and improved signal-to-noise ratio. These recombinant antibodies provide superior specificity and lot-to-lot consistency.
Usage Tips:
- Centrifuge the conjugate solution briefly before use and use only the supernatant to minimize background staining.
- Tested applications include immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry using Caco-2 cells.
- Recommended concentration: 0.5 µg/mL for ICC and ≤0.25 µg/test for Flow.
- Excitation: 494 nm, Emission: 519 nm, compatible with Blue Laser.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
Occludin is a 65 kDa tight junction protein, existing in multiple phosphorylated forms (up to 82 kDa). It plays a key role in maintaining cell permeability and tight junction integrity. Expression levels vary by tissue, with high expression in brain tissue at cell-cell contacts. Dysregulation of occludin is associated with increased permeability in tumor endothelium and brain edema formation.
