This antibody detects endogenous levels of total ARL2BP.
Target Information
ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF)-like proteins (ARLs) are a distinct group within the ARF family of RAS-related GTPases. The ARL2BP protein binds ARL2·GTP with high affinity but does not interact with ARL2·GDP, activated ARF, or RHO proteins. The absence of detectable membrane association upon ARL2 activation suggests a distinct functional mechanism compared to ARFs. ARL2BP is the first identified ARL2-specific effector, interacting with ARL2·GTP but lacking ARL2 GTPase-activating protein activity.
