Product Specific Information

  • Reconstitution:
    Add 25 µL or 100 µL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
    The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
    The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C, protected from light, for up to 1 week.
    For longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
    Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

This potassium channel is controlled by G proteins. Inward rectifier potassium channels preferentially allow potassium to flow into the cell rather than out of it. Their voltage dependence is regulated by extracellular potassium concentration; as external potassium increases, the channel opening shifts to more positive voltages. Inward rectification is primarily due to blockage of outward current by internal magnesium. This receptor plays a crucial role in regulating the heartbeat.
