Target Information
Claudin-8는 세포막에 존재하는 Claudin 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, tight junction strand 형성에 관여합니다. Claudin은 ZO-1을 매개로 액틴 세포골격과 연결되어 있습니다. Claudin-8은 신장의 원위 세뇨관 구간에서 발현되어 세포 간 양이온 장벽 단백질로 기능할 가능성이 있으며, 내이(inner ear) 및 방광 상피의 umbrella cell tight junction에서도 발현됩니다.
