Target Information
PRELP는 결합조직의 세포외기질에 존재하는 류신-풍부 반복 단백질로, basement membrane을 결합조직에 고정시키는 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 type I 및 II collagen과 결합하며, perlecan과 같은 basement membrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan에도 결합합니다. 또한 Hutchinson-Gilford progeria (HGP)의 병태생리와 관련되어 있으며, HGP에서는 basement membrane과 cartilage에서 collagen 결합이 결여된 것으로 보고되었습니다.
