Product Specific Information
- Detects endogenous Gab1 protein at molecular weights of 76 and 110 kDa.

Target Information
Gab1 is a 115 kDa multiple docking protein essential for cellular growth, transformation, and apoptosis. It is phosphorylated by various receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) such as IR, PDGFRβ, HGFR/c-Met, and EGFR, and also in response to cell-cell adhesion.
Gab1 contains at least 16 tyrosine phosphorylation sites, serving as binding sites for PI3K, Grb2, PLCγ1, Nck, and SHP2.
Phosphorylation at Tyr627 and Tyr659 is critical for SHP2 binding and activation of the ERK/MAPK pathway in response to EGF.
