This antibody is predicted to react with mouse, non-human primate, rabbit, and porcine based on sequence homology.

Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and providing consistent performance through recombinant production.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot maintains identical antibody populations, avoiding variability seen in traditional polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

Apolipoprotein C-III (ApoC3) is a protein encoded by the APOC3 gene in humans. It is a component of very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and inhibits lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase, delaying the catabolism of triglyceride-rich particles.

The APOA1, APOC3, and APOA4 genes are closely linked in both rat and human genomes. Increased levels of ApoC3 are associated with the development of hypertriglyceridemia.
