Target Information
IRF3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존성 면역 반응의 주요 전사 조절인자입니다.
DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, IFN-alpha, IFN-beta 및 IFN-stimulated genes (ISG)의 전사를 조절합니다.
IRF3는 감염되지 않은 세포의 세포질에 비활성 형태로 존재하지만, 바이러스 감염이나 double-stranded RNA, toll-like receptor 신호에 의해 활성화됩니다.
IKBKE 및 TBK1에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동하고, CREB binding protein과 결합하여 dsRNA-activated factor 1 (DRAF1) 복합체를 형성함으로써 type I IFN 및 ISG 유전자의 발현을 유도합니다.
해당 유전자의 변이는 감염 유발성 급성 뇌병증(herpes-specific encephalopathy)과 관련이 있습니다.
