Product Specific Information

This 1RNM44N monoclonal antibody recognizes mouse CD170 (Siglec F), a cell surface lectin of the Ig superfamily that binds sialic acid-containing glycoconjugates. Siglec F is mainly expressed on eosinophils and alveolar macrophages, with lower expression on immature myelomonocytic cells. Mouse Siglec F is a functional ortholog of human Siglec 8 but is not expressed on mast cells.

Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 615 (BUV615) emits at 615 nm and is suitable for UV laser (355 nm) equipped cytometers. Protect samples and reagent from light due to photo-induced oxidation sensitivity.

Buffer Recommendations:
For panels using multiple polymer dyes, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific interactions.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness.

Target Information

SIGLEC5 is a putative adhesion molecule mediating sialic acid-dependent binding. It binds both α2,3- and α2,6-linked sialic acids, with expression in monocytic/myeloid lineage cells. High expression is found in leukocytes, spleen, and bone marrow, lower in lymph node, lung, and other tissues. Expressed by monocytes and neutrophils, absent in early leukemic myelomonocytic cell lines.
