Target Information
Rex1 (ZFP42) is involved in the reprogramming of X-chromosome inactivation during the acquisition of pluripotency. It is required for efficient elongation of TSIX, a non-coding RNA antisense to XIST, and binds to the DXPas34 enhancer within the TSIX promoter. Rex1 plays a role in embryonic stem cell self-renewal.
