Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH1) catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate.
These enzymes exist in two subclasses utilizing NAD(+) or NADP(+).
Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been identified: three NAD(+)-dependent (mitochondrial) and two NADP(+)-dependent (one mitochondrial, one cytosolic).
The NADP(+)-dependent cytosolic enzyme (IDH1) also localizes to peroxisomes and contains a PTS-1 targeting signal.
It contributes to NADPH regeneration for peroxisomal reduction reactions and cytoplasmic NADPH production.
This antibody specifically recognizes the IDH1 (mutant R132H) form.
