Target Information
GST (Glutathione S-transferase) is a 26 kDa protein found in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing a variety of reactions. It is commonly used in the GST gene fusion system, which allows purification of fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins are valuable tools for studying direct protein–protein interactions, and the GST gene fusion system has been incorporated into numerous expression vectors.
