Target Information
MAP4K4 (HGK) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in stress-activated MAPK signaling pathways and responses to environmental stress and cytokines such as TNF-alpha. It functions upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway and interacts with adapter proteins Nck via its SH3 domain. HGK binds to the N-terminal region of SPG3A through its CNH regulatory domain. Expression is ubiquitous across tissues, with isoform 5 more abundant in the brain and isoform 4 predominant in liver, skeletal muscle, and placenta.
