- In ELISAs, this antibody shows approximately 25–50% cross-reactivity with recombinant human BMP-6 and no cross-reactivity with rhBMP-2, -3, -4, -5, or -8.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
The bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are a family of secreted signaling molecules that can induce ectopic bone growth. Many BMPs are part of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily. BMPs were originally identified by their ability to induce endochondral osteogenesis in vivo at extra-skeletal sites.
BMP7 is expressed early in embryogenesis and is proposed to play a role in early development. Its close relation to BMP5 and BMP6 suggests potential bone inductive activity.
