This antibody is predicted to react with mouse samples based on sequence homology.
Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10 mM citrate buffer (pH 6.0) for 10 minutes, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
After antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.

Target Information

CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in regulation of T cell and B cell signaling through dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIM). Phosphorylation by associated kinases provides docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is expressed ubiquitously within the vascular compartment and mainly located at junctions between adjacent cells.
The N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, important for cell-cell interactions.
CD31 plays roles in integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immunoreceptor signaling regulation, autoimmunity, macrophage phagocytosis, IgE-mediated anaphylaxis, and thrombosis.
It is one of the key regulatory molecules in the vascular system.
