이들은 검출, 분류, 정제 등 다양한 응용에 사용되며, HRP, AP, 형광 등 여러 검출 시스템과 호환됩니다.
여러 개의 2차 항체가 하나의 1차 항체에 결합할 수 있어 신호 증폭을 통한 높은 민감도를 제공합니다.
대부분의 2차 항체는 표적 종의 면역글로불린을 이용해 숙주 동물을 면역화하여 생산되며, 면역친화 크로마토그래피, 항체 절편화, 라벨 결합 등을 통해 고특이성 시약으로 정제됩니다.
