Target Information
Cytokeratin 8은 type II keratin 계열에 속하며 염색체 12의 장완에 위치합니다. Type I 및 type II keratin은 상피세포의 세포질 내에서 중간 필라멘트를 형성하기 위해 이합체를 형성합니다. Cytokeratin 8은 Keratin 18과 함께 단층 상피세포에서 중간 필라멘트를 구성하며, 세포 구조 유지, 신호 전달 및 세포 분화에 관여합니다. 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 cryptogenic cirrhosis를 유발할 수 있습니다.
