HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress and abundantly present under non-stress conditions.
It associates with intracellular proteins such as steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases.
HSP90 is suggested to maintain structural integrity of steroid receptors for ligand binding during activation.
