This antibody detects endogenous levels of total SERINC3 protein.
Target Information
TDE1 (tumor differentially expressed protein 1), also known as serine incorporator 3 (SERINC3), is a multi-pass membrane protein localized to the Golgi apparatus. It is highly expressed in neuronal tissues and also found in thymus, kidney, liver, and testis. In tumors, TDE1 expression can be up to tenfold higher than in normal tissues of the same type, suggesting a role in oncogenesis. TDE1 may protect cells from serum starvation and etoposide-induced apoptosis, potentially through aberrant methylation of TDE1 complexes.
