Product Specific Information
The FN50 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD69, also known as very early activation antigen (VEA). CD69 is approximately 30 kDa and is expressed on the cell surface as a disulfide-linked dimer. It is rapidly upregulated upon activation and expressed on lymphocytes, monocytes, and platelets.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometric analysis of stimulated normal human peripheral blood cells.
Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.
Alexa Fluor 660 emits at 690 nm and is suitable for spectral cytometers, multiplexed with APC, Alexa Fluor 647, and Alexa Fluor 700.

Target Information
CD69 (AIM, Active Inducer Molecule) is a gp28/34 disulfide-bonded homodimer (~60 kDa under non-reducing conditions). It contains one or two N-linked oligosaccharides and is expressed on activated platelets. In normal peripheral blood, CD69 expression varies across cell populations and is involved in lymphocyte signal transduction. CD69 expression is induced upon T lymphocyte activation and may play a role in proliferation and signaling in NK cells and platelets.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
Diseases associated with CD69 dysfunction include coccidiodomycosis and asthma.
