Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is structurally similar to the CDC46 protein from S. cerevisiae, which is involved in the initiation of DNA replication. This protein belongs to the MCM family of chromatin-binding proteins and interacts with other family members. It is upregulated during the G0 to G1/S phase transition and may play a role in cell cycle regulation.
