Target Information
RIC8A는 Guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF)로, 일부 G-alpha 단백질을 활성화할 수 있습니다. GNAI1, GNAO1, GNAQ를 활성화하지만 GNAS는 활성화하지 않습니다. 세포 분열 중 염색체 이동 시 미세소관 당김력 조절에 관여하며, G(i)-alpha 단백질 자극을 통해 NuMA-GPSM2-G(i)-alpha-GDP 복합체로부터 G(i)-alpha-GTP 및 NuMA 단백질을 방출하도록 유도합니다. 또한 G(q)-alpha (GNAQ) 단백질의 활성화에도 작용하여 G(q)-coupled receptor-mediated ERK activation을 강화합니다.
