Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody OX90.1 recognizes mouse CD200 (OX2), a member of the Ig superfamily with two Ig domains, a transmembrane and cytoplasmic domain.
CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B cells, subsets of T cells, keratinocytes, peripheral and central nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells.
Interaction with CD200R results in macrophage activation (IL-6 production), inhibition of mast cell degranulation, reduced TNF-α and IL-13 secretion, and attenuation of lymphocyte activation.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested with mouse splenocytes at ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimal titration recommended.

Target Information

CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein with two immunoglobulin domains, belonging to the Ig superfamily.
It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation.
Homologues are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses.
Studies suggest CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals to macrophages across tissues.
Associated diseases include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants exist.
