Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Epo-R.
Target Information
EpoR encodes the erythropoietin receptor, a member of the cytokine receptor family. When erythropoietin binds to this receptor, it activates Jak2 tyrosine kinase, leading to activation of intracellular pathways such as Ras/MAP kinase, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, and STAT transcription factors. The activated receptor supports erythroid cell survival. Mutations may cause erythroleukemia or familial erythrocytosis, and dysregulation can influence tumor growth. Multiple transcript variants exist due to alternative splicing. Diseases associated with EPOR include Erythrocytosis, Familial, 1 and Erythroleukemia.
