Target Information
Thought to form a receptor-activated calcium permeant cation channel. Probably operated by a phosphatidylinositol second messenger system activated by receptor tyrosine kinases or G-protein coupled receptors.
Not activated by intracellular calcium store depletion.
Expressed exclusively in vomeronasal organ neurons (sensory microvilli).
Belongs to the transient receptor family, STrpC subfamily. Contains 3 ANK repeats.
