Target Information

Presenilin-1은 초기 발병 알츠하이머병의 감수성 마커로 처음 확인되었습니다. PEN2, nicastrin, APH-1과 함께 γ-secretase 단백질 복합체를 형성하며, 이는 막 결합 아스파틸 프로테아제로서 지질 이중층 내의 펩타이드 결합을 절단합니다. 이러한 절단은 여러 세포 표면 수용체의 신호 전달에 중요한 단계이며, 알츠하이머병 병리의 중심인 신경독성 아밀로이드 펩타이드 생성에 관여합니다. γ-secretase는 APP를 절단하여 비독성 p3 또는 독성 Abeta 펩타이드를 생성하며, Abeta 축적이 알츠하이머병의 전구 과정으로 알려져 있습니다. Presenilin-1은 여러 isoform 형태로 존재합니다.
