Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포-세포 및 세포-세포외기질 부착 접합부(adherens junctions)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. F-actin을 세포막에 고정하는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용하며, 인테그린의 β 서브유닛이 탈린(talin)에 결합하고, 탈린이 빈쿨린(vinculin)에 결합하여 α-actinin 및 actin filament와 연결되는 일련의 상호작용을 통해 세포 부착판(adhesion plaque)을 형성합니다.
Vinculin은 세포외기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템을 연결하는 핵심 요소로, 유전자 변이는 확장성 심근병증(cardiomyopathy dilated 1W) 또는 가족성 비후성 심근병증(familial hypertrophic 15)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
