Target Information
T-cell mediated immune responses are triggered by T lymphocytes recognizing peptides bound to MHC molecules on antigen-presenting cells (APCs). Activated T cells express receptors such as PD-1 (also known as PDCD-1), which deliver inhibitory signals upon binding to ligands PDL-1 or PDL-2. These interactions help regulate immune activation, preventing autoimmunity. PD-1 often migrates at a higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE than predicted.
