This OX1 monoclonal antibody recognizes a non-polymorphic determinant of rat CD45 (leukocyte common antigen).
CD45 is expressed on all hematopoietic cells except erythrocytes and platelets. It is a type I transmembrane protein tyrosine phosphatase with multiple isoforms generated by alternative splicing.

Target Information

CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase expressed on all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising about 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins.
It is absent on non-hematopoietic cells and tissues. CD45 regulates lymphocyte development and antigen signaling by modulating Src-family kinases and JAK kinases.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
CD45 plays critical roles in T- and B-cell receptor signaling, cytokine receptor regulation, integrin signaling, and apoptosis modulation.
