Target Information

ANKRD13A, also known as ANKRD13, is a 590-amino-acid protein containing two ANK repeats and four UIM (ubiquitin-interacting motif) repeats. It localizes to the cell membrane and functions as a ubiquitin-binding protein that specifically recognizes and binds Lys-63–linked ubiquitin, but not Lys-48–linked ubiquitin. ANKRD13A positively regulates the internalization of ligand-activated EGFR by binding to the ubiquitin moiety of ubiquitinated EGFR at the cell membrane.
