Target Information
ANKRD13A (also known as ANKRD13) is a 590 amino acid protein containing two ANK repeats and four UIM (ubiquitin-interacting motif) repeats. It localizes to the cell membrane and functions as a ubiquitin-binding protein that specifically recognizes and binds Lys-63-linked ubiquitin, but not Lys-48-linked ubiquitin. ANKRD13A positively regulates the internalization of ligand-activated EGFR by binding to the ubiquitinated EGFR at the cell membrane.
