- In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human FOLR2, FOLR3, or FOLR4 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the folate receptor family. These receptors bind folic acid and its reduced derivatives, transporting 5-methyltetrahydrofolate into cells. The gene product may be membrane-anchored via a glycosyl-phosphatidylinositol linkage or exist in soluble form. Mutations are associated with neurodegeneration due to cerebral folate transport deficiency. Multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified due to alternative splicing and promoter usage.
