- For IHC, epitope retrieval with citrate buffer (pH 6.0) is recommended for FFPE tissue sections.
- Based on 100% sequence identity, this antibody is predicted to react with Gorilla and Chimpanzee.
Target Information
ELAC2 encodes a protein with a C-terminal domain exhibiting tRNA 3′ processing endoribonuclease activity, catalyzing removal of the 3′ trailer from precursor tRNAs.
The protein interacts with activated Smad2 and its nuclear partner forkhead box H1 (FAST-1), and reduced expression can suppress TGF-β–induced growth arrest.
Mutations in this gene are associated with increased risk of prostate cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
