Target Information
Interleukin 6 receptor (IL6R), 또는 CD126으로 알려진 단백질은 type I cytokine receptor에 속합니다. IL6R은 interleukin 6 (IL6) receptor 복합체의 한 구성요소로, 세포 성장과 분화를 조절하며 면역 반응에 중요한 역할을 합니다. IL6 receptor는 IL6 signal transducer (IL6ST/GP130/IL6-beta)와 함께 복합체를 이루며, 여러 다른 cytokine과 공유됩니다. IL6 및 IL6 receptor의 조절 이상은 다발성 골수종, 자가면역 질환, 전립선암 등 다양한 질환의 병태생리에 관련되어 있습니다.
이 유전자는 다양한 isoform을 생성하는 alternative splicing을 가지며, 염색체 9에 pseudogene이 존재합니다.
