Target Information
Cyclin T1은 cyclin C 하위 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, cyclin-dependent kinase 9(CDK9)와 결합하여 positive transcription elongation factor b (p-TEFb)의 주요 구성 요소로 작용합니다. 이 복합체는 HIV-1 Tat 단백질의 보조인자로서 바이러스 전사의 완전한 활성화를 위해 필요하며, RNA polymerase II의 carboxy-terminal domain을 인산화하여 전사 연장을 유도합니다. Cyclin T1의 과발현은 종양 성장과 관련이 있으며, 대체 스플라이싱을 통해 여러 전사 변이체가 생성됩니다.
