Target Information
PSCA (Prostate Stem Cell Antigen) is a cell surface antigen that is overexpressed in approximately 40% of primary prostate cancers and up to 100% of metastatic ones. It is also overexpressed in most transitional cell and pancreatic carcinomas. Antibodies against PSCA have been shown to inhibit tumorigenesis, slow tumor growth, prolong survival, and prevent metastasis in preclinical xenograft models, suggesting PSCA may serve as a prognostic marker and/or therapeutic target in prostate cancer.
