This antibody does not cross-react with recombinant human (rh) Granzyme A, rhGranzyme H, recombinant mouse (rm) Granzyme B, rmGranzyme C, rmGranzyme D, or rmGranzyme G.
Target Information
Granzyme B is a member of the granzyme serine protease family found in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and NK cells. It is known as CGL1 (cathepsin G-like-1) and CTLA-1 (cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated serine esterase 1).
Granzyme B plays a crucial role in inducing apoptosis in target cells via interaction with cytotoxic T cells. It utilizes mannose 6-phosphate receptor as a death receptor and activates caspase-3 to initiate DNA fragmentation and apoptosis.
Additionally, Granzyme B can trigger mitochondrial apoptosis by cleaving Bid protein. Granzymes (A–G in mouse) are neutral serine proteases stored in lytic granules of CTLs and NK cells. In humans, fewer granzymes have been cloned and identified.
