Antibody detects endogenous levels of total IL-22 Receptor Alpha.
Target Information
IL-22 (also known as IL-TIF) is a cytokine related to IL-10. Its receptor, IL-22R (also termed CRF2-9 or IL-TIF-R1), belongs to the class II cytokine receptor family. IL-22R forms a complex with IL-10 receptor beta chain to mediate IL-22 signaling via the JAK-STAT pathway.
IL-22R is expressed in liver and kidney tissues and cell lines such as HepG2 and TK-10. A soluble form, IL-22 binding protein (IL-22BP or IL-22RA2), inhibits IL-22 interaction with the receptor complex, neutralizing its activity. LPS induces IL-22 expression, suggesting a role in inflammatory response.
