Target Information
탄저병 감염은 Bacillus anthracis의 포자를 흡입, 섭취 또는 피부 접촉을 통해 시작됩니다. B. anthracis는 protective antigen (PA), lethal factor (LF), edema factor (EF)로 구성된 세 가지 폴리펩타이드를 생성합니다.
PA는 세포 표면의 두 단백질인 tumor epithelial marker 8 (TEM8)/anthrax toxin receptor (ATR) 및 capillary morphogenesis protein 2 (CMG2)에 결합합니다. PA가 수용체에 결합하면 furin-like protease에 의해 두 개의 절편으로 절단되며, 절단된 절편은 LF와 EF에 결합하여 복합체를 형성하고 세포 내로 내포됩니다. LF와 EF는 세포질로 이동하여 빠른 세포 사멸을 유도하며, 이는 종종 숙주의 사망으로 이어집니다.
