Target Information
BCL-XL은 BCL-2 단백질 패밀리의 구성원으로, 세포 내 다양한 활동에 관여하는 항- 또는 친-아폽토시스 조절 인자로 작용합니다. BCL-XL은 미토콘드리아 외막에 위치하며, 미토콘드리아 외막 채널(VDAC)의 개폐를 조절합니다. VDAC은 미토콘드리아 막 전위 및 활성산소 생성, 사이토크롬 C 방출을 조절하여 세포사멸을 유도합니다. 두 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되었으며, 긴 형태는 아폽토시스 억제제로, 짧은 형태는 촉진제로 작용합니다.
