For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

In the intact cell, DNA closely associates with histones and other nuclear proteins to form chromatin. Chromatin remodeling is essential for transcriptional regulation, and histone acetylation plays a major role in this process. Acetylation of lysine residues in histones changes nucleosomal conformation, increasing DNA accessibility to transcription factors.
Histone deacetylases (HDACs) are responsible for removing acetyl groups, leading to transcriptional silencing. The HDAC family includes HDAC1–9. HDAC9 and HDAC9a are alternatively spliced isoforms, both containing the HDAC catalytic domain and maintaining deacetylase activity. They repress myocyte enhancer-binding factor 2-mediated transcription and are expressed in brain, skeletal muscle, kidney, placenta, and pancreas.
