Target Information
FBXO11 is a member of the F-box protein family characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif. F-box proteins are part of the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex (SKP1-cullin-F-box) involved in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
They are classified into:
- Fbws: containing WD-40 domains
- Fbls: containing leucine-rich repeats
- Fbxs: containing various protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs
FBXO11 belongs to the Fbxs class. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
