TGFBR1은 TGFBR1 수퍼패밀리에 속하는 막관통 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, ACVR 및 BMPR 계열 단백질을 포함합니다. TGF-β 결합 시 TGFBR2가 TGFBR1과 이합체를 형성하고 인산화를 통해 활성화하며, 이어서 SMAD 단백질의 인산화를 유도합니다. TGFBR1은 TGF-β 수용체 II형과 이형이합체를 형성하여 세포 표면에서 세포질로 신호를 전달합니다. 이 단백질은 세린/트레오닌 단백질 키나아제로 알려져 있으며, 해당 유전자의 돌연변이는 Loeys-Dietz 대동맥류 증후군(LDAS)과 관련이 있습니다.
